FC77 Rangers, "The Greatest O-30 Recreational Football Club in the Greater Portland Area", is proud to reveal the new team crest and logo. When Manager Sean sent an email to 'Gers asking for suggestions for a team branding image, he was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic response he received. Unsure as to how to graphically convey the awesomeness and general "kick-assitude" of what a Ranger exactly is, he almost wept manly tears when Dan Calkins of Black Cat Productions went to town and produced no less than a dozen--maybe more!--images that met Sean's criteria: It should probably have a champion's star, it must be awesome, and it must not suck. Dan "went yard" and produced an image that works as a crest you would want to kiss after scoring a goal or wearing on a trendy, hipster alternative t-shirt when chilling in a wine bar in the Pearl. I knows the ladies are gonna want some of that! Seanny loves it so much that he is giving serious thought to getting it permanently inked on his flesh.

New FC77 Rangers Logo Revealed!
I'll forego the insightful commentary about the symbolism of the wings, swords, and star...but I will say that if you do the Nicolas Anelka "flapping bird" goal celebration--palms facing in, thumbs interlocked, fingers extended--it does kind of resemble the new logo. Which Ranger will be the first to flash our new gangsta sign when they net? Come to the Montessori Earth School this spring and find out!
Be on the lookout for exciting new apparel and other fine FC77 Ranger merchandise coming shortly. You're awesome on the pitch...now you can be awesome off the pitch, too! Why spend $35 for a CR7 Real Madrid t-shirt when you can spend [price to be determined] for a bit of Ranger pride?!
And if some pretty young thing buys you a drink in the Pearl and purrs, "Meow! I like the cut of your jib, sailor," well, isn't that money well spent...?
