O-30 Third Rose City Preview

Ever watch any of those Premier League preview shows? Man, I do. I positively eat that stuff up. They'll show new players training with their clubs, signing autographs and keeping it real with the fans, etc. Then the commentators will inevitably do a team by team preview of the season and rank the clubs, either by reverse projected order of finish or by assigning a letter grade.

Yeah...I got none of that.

What I have is a list of the managers for the Fall 2009 O-30 Third Rose City Division as emailed by the league. From that, I can take away there is anticipated to be eight teams in the division, as follows:

Dawgs

Hawks

FC77 Rangers

KMA

No Subs

Symmetry Northwest

Salem Kickers

Wolfhounds FC

Hawks, KMA and Salem Kickers are new squads to the division, so little is known about them. Well, except that Salem Kickers has a MySpace and a Facebook page and, based upon a few photos Radigan and I found, may include a few of our former high school teammates. Ergo, we must defeat them. Dawgs and Symmetry are former foes who have returned to the Rose City after stints in the O-30 Third Portland and O-30 Second Divisions. That leaves Wolfhounds FC, our favorite club that isn't us, and No Subs.

Hmm...who do you suppose might be our biggest rivals this season?

Pre-season kicks off with a friendly match vs. Wolfhounds FC on Sunday, August 30th.
