Junior Ranger Profile: Connor Foubister

From Junior Rangers

Connor Foubister, age 10, was the winner of the Junior Ranger Logo Contest. He's been supporting "the Greatest Over 30, Third Division Club in the Greater Portland, Oregon Area" for just about eight months since his dad officially joined the squad prior to the spring '08 season. In that short time, however, he has been a regular on the sidelines and an enthusiastic fan.

Connor supports Liverpool, Glasgow Rangers, Portland Timbers, and (of course) FC77 Rangers. He also likes Barcelona, D.C. United, and the national teams of Spain, Germany, Holland, England, and Scotland. His favorite players are Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, David Villa, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso and Andrei Arshavin. His favorite goal is Steven Gerrard's goal against Olympiacos in the 2005 Champions League.

Connor's hobbies are birding, frisbee golf, football (soccer), biking, hiking/walking/running and playing the violin. He plays in the PYP (Portland Youth Philharmonic) Young String Ensemble. His next concert is Sunday, November 16, 2008 4PM at St. Mary's Academy,1615 SW 5th Ave., Portland, OR.

He also runs his own blog called The Beaverton Bird Blog (http://beavertonbirdblog.blogspot.com).

Congratulations, Connor, on a fantastic logo! Your t-shirt is in the works!

I wish I were a Ranger again! Hell I miss the pitch. Hi all, I'm doing fine here in VBC. Work is very exciting, I study adipose stem cells and the effect of beer (hiya Steve!)on days of negative results. Found a nice studio by the beach in Kitsilano, and pretty soon I hope I'll be riding the wind on a sailboat. Alright, wish u the best of success for the end of the season. Rangers! (F*ck yeah)
