Joining from the Newcastle team for Spring 09 as the Newcastle team is playing many Wednesday nights and I can not make many of those games. Started playing soccer as a wee lad while living as yank in England and then carried that back across the pond playing in high school and college in NY. Did not play competitively again until joining Newcastle in Fall 07. Glad to be back.

Goals: At least (1) monster 48 yard goal at Hillsboro Stadium
"DeBar's glory days on the pitch started in sixth grade when he stopped PKs to win the game for his after-school league team in Minnesota. It happen right before whistles were invented."
Cheers,
Andre
PS - I've also been playing on the Ranger for most of the time since 1995 (not quite as long as Vogel, who recruited me for the team). The last two years are my main break.

Have played, for better or for worse, on FC77 Rangers since 2001 or 02. Like this team's never give up attitude.
Favorite Footballer: Eidur Gudjohnsson Icelandic midfielder. Marginal speed but always makes those around him better. Works hard. Sortof a part-timer for Barcelona now, i believe. i actually made a t-shirt once with the phrase "I'm down with Eidur" emblazoned across the front.
Favorite team: Man U
Dream Vacation: Going to England-- watching a match at Old Trafford and a match in Bristol City.
cheers!"

Position: Midfielder/Goalkeeper of Last Resort/Manager
Hometown: Salem, OR
Pre-game song: "Monkey Vs. Robot" by James Kochalka Superstar
Goals: 11 (plus 3 more while on load with Wolfhounds FC)
Bio:
"A fine pitch. A good squad. And Heaven beats Hell 7-0 every single time." Guy Roux, former Auxerre manager, on his definition of Paradise.
I've been playing football since the third grade, including my senior year at North Salem High School (Salem's only inner-city high school) with Aaron Radigan after he immigrated here from New Zealand. Architecture school at the UO cut down my pitch time and after graduation I left the game for a while and took up mountain climbing. I summit bagged for seven years before getting caught in a small avalanche/fall on Mt. Garibaldi in Canada, at which point I decided that perhaps my recreational pursuits were best left to low elevation environs. Around that same time I also discovered Fox Soccer Channel, met Mark Vogel and took up his invitation to play for Rangers in the fall of '05. This is my sixth campaign as manager for 'Gers. We have an awesome squad and won the Spring 2008 GPSD Rose City Over-30 Third Division championship. I don't know if it is totally cool or totally sad that qualified as the Third Greatest Moment of My Life. That fall we went undefeated for the entire season before coming up second best in the championship match. We were runners up in the fall of 2009, too, losing 2-1 to the undefeated Salem Kickers in the coldest soccer match I have ever played.
I love this game. My daughter Kendall is quite the little U11 player and you can find us in Section 118 of Jenn-Weld Park for almost every PTFC home match. Nothing warms a father's heart like seeing his precious seven year old scream "CARD THEM ALL!" when the referee flashes a caution to the Timbers' opposition. I was fortunate enough to see Charlton Athletic play Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Valley in east London back in April '05. Last August, my brother Tyler and I went to England to see Manchester United play Juventus at Old Trafford...from the fifteenth row, midfield. We also watched Fulham tie Torino 2-2 at Craven Cottage and saw the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium, where my beloved Red Devils beat Portsmouth 3-1 on penalties.
Rangers' fearless player/manager supports Manchester United, Alloa Athletic (Scottish Second Division), Portland Timbers, FC Black Cat IV and the Aloha United U11 Express.
Mad Maynard: If you really are a member of the Manchester United Fan Club, sing the Manchester United song.Scott: Excuse me? I'm sorry. I'm really not that much of a singer...
Mad Maynard: [slams a beer bottle on the floor] Sing!
Scott: [Immediately begins singing] My baby takes the mornin' train. / He works from nine to five and then, / he takes another home again to find me... watching the Manchester United Football Team! Ah? The best freakin' team in all the land! Woo hoo!
I'm Sean Ingersoll and I approved this message.

Age: 38 or something
Pre-game ritual: Umm, telling myself I shouldn't play this week because it's too soon, the lower back isn't quite there yet ... then playing anyway, but poorly. Then groaning like an AARP member for 3 days. Hopefully this season I can get back to form. I really would like this team to keep clawing its way up the ladder, even if it's just one lousy point more than last season.
Favorite team: Elizabeth Hurley
Favorite color: Elizabeth Hurley
started playing futbol when I was a wee sprout in Southern Cal. I was that annoyingly speedy little midget/rabbit you had to chase around. They would post me as striker at the fullback line to cherry-pick, then send a long one into enemy territory, where I would invariably outpace the back line, dribble past the small keeper trying to guard that HUGE regulation goal, and put one on the board. This worked wonderfully until about age 15, when my brother and I both got passed over for the all-star team by the 2nd-place coach who didn't like my Pop [not the first time nor the last] or our first-place team.
That was the end of my storied soccer career, v1.0, but that was okay because I had recently discovered girls, beer, surfing, skateboarding, and teenage rascalism in general. I did continue playing baseball in high school, but there was a lot more bench-sitting and pitch-charting than actual playing. It seems the "talent had caught up" with my not-so-fastball. This worked out nicely, though ... the scorekeeper girl was a cutie and I got to spend a lot of “quality time” sitting on that bench next to her. She became my first high school girlfriend. Hahaha!! How d'ya like them apples, ya hotshot starters!!
Got the futbol bug again in 2000 when I moved to Portland and started playing some indoor. One thing I noticed immediately, much to my surprise and disappointment, was that I couldn't just outrun the backline anymore. I also noticed that sometime in those intervening years someone had stolen my lungs and replaced them with a beer storage cavity. Ahh, such is life. Blew out my right ACL but got it fixed up ... still had the futbol bug.
Dude on my team said I should try some outdoor, which found me on a pretty poor Division 4 team, which disbanded. Then I signed up with FC Orange, which was D3 Open at the time. That team was fun but some prick slid into me on a ball in the box and snapped my ankle in half. Compound fracture of the left fibula. We’re talking Joe Theisman worthy. Quite scary, but the doc fixed me up good. I have all kinds of hardware in that ankle ... I'm pretty sure it picks up satellite signals on occasion. Still couldn't shake the futbol jones. What do they say? It’s the things you love that get you in the end?
Came back with a D3 Open team as fullback. We graduated to D2 Open. D2 Open was a whole different universe. Now I was watching in horror as 19-year-olds ran past ME with impunity. Actually I didn't care ... I just wanted OXYGEN!!! Then McConnachie reminded me about the FC77 Rangers and the rest is glorious history.

Born and raised in Portland, currently live in Beaverton. Started playing soccer in 1st grade and will never stop. Played at David Douglas High School and continued to play all four years (30 lbs ago) at Pacific University in the thriving town of Forest Grove, OR. Center – mid has been my spot pretty much all my life. One beautiful daughter that I hope will soon kick my butt in soccer and golf, now that I am coaching her in both! I joined The Reserve Golf & Vineyards a few years back and when I’m not kicking it around, chilling with my daughter or selling insurance or investments, you’ll find me working on my golf game. Only 13 years for me to prepare for the Senior Tour!!

I lived outside of London when I was 6 for a year close to Crystal Palace, so they are my team (they are kind of like the Cubs)

Moved to Oregon from Florida but I'm originally from Scotland. I've been playing football for as long as I can remember but stopped a few years ago because of crazy Florida Summertime kickoffs. 100F and 100% humidity at noon is no fun. I grew up with rain/hail/sunshine all in one game baby!
I support Rangers and Liverpool, but since I grew up in Helensburgh (just west of Glasgow) my local team was Dumbarton (it was always painful to watch them). Now I have to add Portland Timbers to the list (they're better than Dumbarton though).
But to be honest, I'm really a Liverpool supporter and have been since the days of Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, and Alan Hansen.
I played three seasons with FC77 Rangers and indoor football with several of the 'Gers lads on FC Black Cats. I'll be be keeping an eye out for Rangers results while playing with the Timbers Army Football Club in Fall 2009.

"Born in the land of gauchos, mate and economic instability, "futbol" to me has always been a therapy to find peace of mind...and ditch class. A rather fervent supporter of Boca Juniors, the combination of blue and yellow triggers an instinctive swinging of my body, which can also be caused by cumbia tunes.
Having the chance of playing with the Rangers is to me an honor that can only be compared with being an extra in Miami Vice, or one of those mind-catching Chuck Norris flicks. The ultimate experience.
My goal this season is exactly that one: The Goal, and reaching it at any cost will be the strategy."

The first adult league team that I played with upon moving to Portland nine years ago was the FC77 Rangers. When the team was in receivership and in the process of being relegated to a U-11 girls division I transferred to an upstart team only to come back to the Rangers, on loan, many a time. Now I’m back fulltime, finishing out the remainder of my contract and golden years with the revitalized Rangers team! My favorite sport is Soccer, my second favorite sport is watching soccer. My favorite team is, who’s ever the underdog, as they make for the most interesting matches. Players that made an impression in my youth; Pele’, Franz Beckenbauer, Giorgio Chinaglia.
