Derby Day Hype - FC77 Rangers v Wolfhounds FC

While there are many major football rivalries around the world (Rangers vs. Celtic, Liverpool vs. Everton or Manchester United, Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, Boca Juniors vs. River Plate to name a few) none of these can possibly compare to the derby of the Greater Portland Soccer District over 30's 3rd Rose City division: FC77 Rangers versus Wolfhounds FC/Blue Monk!

Since the dawn of recorded history (Spring 2007) these storied teams have locked horns no less than six times. These are entertaining matches resulting in an average tally of 5.17 goals per game.

With Rangers emerging the victor four out of six attempts we’ve outscored our opponents 20 to 13.

Not surprisingly Ntini tops the scoring charts against Blue Monk. Indeed, the record closely resembles our Top Scorer table. Scorers against Blue Monk:
  1. Ntini - 7
  2. McConnachie - 4
  3. Radigan - 3
  4. Foubister - 2
  5. Muralt - 1
  6. King - 1
  7. Sibanda - 1
  8. Blue Monk O.G.
Will Rangers return to their winning ways against against Wolfhounds FC like we did on October 26, 2008? We'll find out Sunday at noon!
